February 2006NEW NAME - SAME AIM:professional theatre at the heart of FarnhamThe New Farnham Repertory Actors’ Company (NFRAC) is the new name for the group of professional actors, writers, directors and technicians of the New Farnham Repertory Company. Popular productions from the past include Charley’s Aunt, A Tale of Two Cities and Racing Demon. Now, the seven core members of the company - Simon Cole, David Gooderson, Brenda Longman (Chair), David Roylance (Vice Chair), Maurice Thorogood, Ben Warwick and William Whymper - are planning their 2006 season. Two plays will be performed in the Brightwells Gardens marquee, while a third, which will subsequently go on tour, is planned for a smaller indoor venue. The season will run from 2 August to 16 September. The company is proud to announce that actors Hannah Gordon and Tamara Ustinov have very kindly offered their services as patrons. NFRAC has an experienced, loyal supporters’ committee, and has attracted a 5,000-strong database of attenders over its seven-year existence. It hopes to add still more supporters and, above all, audiences this year. NFRAC sadly says goodbye this year to founder member Ian Mullins, director of many of its past successes. Founding directors David Wylde and Hannah Williams remain as mentors to the new team as it takes off. The members of the seven-strong actors’ company have pedigrees ranging through West End plays and musicals to radio and television, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Chichester Festival Theatre and repertory theatres such as Theatre Royal York. All have appeared with NFRAC before, they are seven of the stars of its seven year history, and they will recruit additional cast members for the 2006 season.
