Play competition

The NEW FARNHAM REPERTORY COMPANY

is proud to announce a

NEW PLAY COMPETITION

based on an incident or incidents - either factual or imaginary - in the life of

William Cobbett

THE RULES

The competition is open to professional and non-professional writers. All plays entered must be original works that have not previously been performed.

The NFRC reserves the right to make copies of the scripts. If these are used beyond the purposes of judging this will only be done with the writer's permission.

It is proposed that NFRC professional actors will perform the winning entry. The NFRC will be seeking sponsorship for the production of the winning entry from companies or individuals.

CATEGORIES OF COMPETITION

CATEGORY A

A full length or one act play suitable for a studio theatre.

CATEGORY B

A full length play suitable for performance in a theatre such as The Redgrave Theatre, Farnham.

Writers may wish to consider submitting a play with songs and/or incidental music.

It should be noted that the NFRC specialises in professionally led community productions when local voluntary actors join the company.

Please note there is no reason why the work cannot be a collaboration between two or more writers.
