Professionals
and public combine for Our Town
The New
Farnham Repertory Company (NFRC) rounded off its late-summer
season with a performance of 2004’s community play,
Thornton Wilder’s Our Town.
Volunteers Tim, Rachel and Isaac
Sturt in costume for Our Town.
The
20-strong cast was evenly split between seasoned
professionals and members of the public.
The
director of the play, Ian Mullins, chairman of the NFRC, said:
"Every year it is a very exciting experience for everyone
involved."
Mr
Mullins enjoyed presenting the unorthodox play.
He explained: "It is a lovely play about small town life,
children growing up and falling in love. It is about living,
growing old and passing on."
Our
Town was performed at St Andrew's Church between 8th and
18th September. Mr Mullins added: "The play is marvellously
suited to take place in a church."
