What's on
From the writer of There’s a Girl in my Soup comes this outrageous award-winning comedy, set in the swinging sixties. Chaos explodes onto the stage when the fertile Botterill family gets a piece of unexpected news. Camera crews and reporters pile into their tiny attic flat as the family jumps on the media bandwagon, on the promise of celebrity and wealth. The Bandwagon was first produced by the Mermaid Theatre, London on the 22nd October 1969, with a cast that included Peggy Mount, Martin Jarvis, John Challis and Carolyn Lister. This play allows us to see very real people from different worlds meet in a moment of chaos that will create comedy you will remember for a long time. "Beautifully constructed comedy … Frisby is a master craftsman.” (Plays and Players) There will be a special talk by the playwright after the performance on Friday 4 August
